OBJECTIVE

      Co-op position in software development to gain meaningful experience 


WEB DEVELOPMENT SKILLS 

  • Designed a non-functional Google homepage replica using HTML and CSS 

  • Produced a Snake game that keeps track of score and plays instrumental background music (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) 

  • Used CSS flexbox and grid 

  • Developed a philosophy webpage that allows the user to explore various thought experiments 

  • Utilised the swup library for effective page transitions 


JAVA SKILLS 

  • Created a Java desktop book manager that allows the user to add, remove and sort through their book collection (with object-oriented design principles)

  • Implemented a graphical user interface using the Java Swing library with event handling 

  • completed CPSC 210 at The University of British Columbia (Java-based OOP course)


COMMUNICATION SKILLS 

  • Provide customer-facing retail sales support at Hudson’s Bay 

  • Volunteered at SAM Aphasia clinic and worked with aphasia patients using communication skills like keywording and repetition

  • volunteered as the McMaster Arts for Children coordinator and developed and ran craft games with elementary school children
